I’m fairly aware of the current Eddie Vedder vs Motley Crue feud. Here’s my own take.

Motley Crue helped make 80s rock the juggernaut it was with the perfect combination of hard rock, showmanship, and a classic rocker look. Pearl Jam helped grunge destroy rock by dumbing it down to its lowest common denominator and rock has never recovered. So, very frankly, F you, Eddie, go join your peers.
